Infineon Technologies 3kW 50V Server and Data Center PSU (Power Supply Unit) Reference Design (EVAL_3KW_50V_PSU) is a complete power supply targeting the Open Compute V3 rectifier specifications. The PSU comprises a front-end AC-DC bridgeless totem pole converter followed by a back-end DC-DC isolated half-bridge LLC converter. The front-end totem pole converter provides Power Factor Correction (PFC) and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). The LLC converter provides safety isolation and a tightly regulated output voltage.The measured peak efficiency of the complete Infineon Technologies 3kW 50V Server & Data Center PSU Reference Design at 230VAC is 97.5%, not including the internal fan, and 97.4%, including the internal fan. The overall outer dimensions of the Infineon Technologies 3kW 50V Server and Data Center PSU are 73.5mm x 520mm x 40mm, which yields a power density in the range of 32W/inch³ (1.95W/cm³).
