At Mouser Electronics, Inc., the task of securing the personal data you share with us is extremely important. We want you to feel confident that your data is safe and secure, and that you understand how we use it.
Mouser is committed to doing the right thing when it comes to how we collect, use and protect information that identifies or is associated with you as a real person (“personal data”). This is why we have developed this Game privacy and cookie policy (“policy”), which:

- Explains how and why we collect and use your personal data;
- Explains the rights and choices you have when it comes your personal data.
The data controller referred to in this document is Mouser Electronics, Inc. (also referred to in this policy as “Mouser”, “we” or “us”).
This Game Privacy Policy applies to Mouser's Game App the “Game Service.” We may periodically update this Game Privacy Policy by posting a new version in the Game Service (“Mouser Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions”). If we make any material changes, we will notify you by posting a notice in the Game Service prior to the change becoming effective. Your continued use of the Game Service after the effective date evidences your consent to the change and will be subject to the new Game Privacy Policy.
THE DATA WE COLLECT
For certain users, it may be necessary to create an account to play Tech Quotient. If you are required to establish an account, the following information is what you will be asked to provide.
- Contact information (such as name and email address)
- Player name and password
- Profile information (such as profile photo)
- Your messages to the Game Service (player support tickets)
- Other data you choose to give us (such as data to identify a lost account)
Cookies and other tracking technology
Mouser and our third-party partners automatically collect certain types of usage information when you use our services. We typically collect this information through a variety of tracking technologies, including cookies, web beacons, embedded scripts, location-identifying technologies, file information, and similar technology (collectively, “tracking technologies”).
Mouser collects information about your device and its software, such as your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, platform type, device type, operating system, date and time stamp (a unique ID that allows us to identify your browser, mobile device, or your account). We also collect information regarding the Game Service, such as gameplay data and your interactions with other players inside the Game Service. When you access our Game Service from a mobile device, we may collect unique identification numbers associated with your device or our mobile application. In most cases, we also create a Mouser-specific ID for you when you use the Game Service.
We may collect analytical data or use third-party analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends to understand the demographics of our users. We may employ technologies, including the application of statistical modelling tools, which permit us to recognize and contact you across multiple devices.
Data we collect in conjunction with our Gamer Service partners:
- Demographic Data (email, country location, profile picture, username)
- Game Data analytics (achievements, game play)
- Data we receive if you link a third party tool with the Game Service (such as Facebook, WeChat or Google)
HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
What does Mouser use my data for?
Mouser processes and uses your data in accordance with all applicable data protection laws, and to the best of our ability, we adhere to the principles of those complex laws. We process your data for the purposes explained to you in this Game Privacy Policy. The purposes are mainly game data processing and use. Processing may also include such purposes as product development, market research, and personalized advertising.
Game data processing and provision of game services:
We process your data to provide and execute additional services requested by you, as described in this Data Privacy Policy. The most important purposes are:
- The provision, personalization and needs-based design of our game services including apps and cross-device and cross-platform functions.
- The creation of accounts to use our games and games services.
- The execution of customer service and support.
- Non-promotional communication with you on technical, security-related and contractually relevant subjects (e.g. fraud warnings, account blocking).
Legal basis:
The execution of a contract agreed with you or the provision of a service requested by you; the legal basis is Article 6 (1) b GDPR.
Improving the game experience:
Mouser uses game data to enable, monitor, maintain and improve the Game Service.
Mouser uses cookies and access data for usage analysis. When logged into an account, we use profile data and interest data.
To provide a great Game Service to our players, we have a legitimate interest to collect and process necessary data to:
- Update and develop player profiles to include added player achievements
- Develop and improve the Game Service and player experience by fixing bugs or improving game play
Legal basis:
The legal basis for the processing of your data within the framework of on-site optimization is Article 6 (1) f GDPR, whereby our legitimate interest are in the above purposes.
Advertising and market research, data analysis:
Mouser uses your data, also within the framework of data analysis, for advertising and market research, in particular for the following purposes:
- Classification into various target and user groups within the framework of market research (user segmentation).
- Findings on various target groups and their respective usage habits and interests.
- The planning, execution and success monitoring of advertising corresponding to the interest of target groups.
- Findings as to how our services are used (usage analysis).
Legal basis:
If data processing for the above purposes occurs with your consent, the legal basis is Article 6 (1) a GDPR (consent) and legitimate interest (Article 6 (1) f GDPR).
On the basis of your consent:
If you have given Mouser consent for the processing of personal data, your consent is the primary basis of our data processing.
Mouser also uses your data to enforce the terms of this Game Privacy Policy and Mouser Games Terms of Use and to comply with legal, governmental and regulatory requirements.
WHO CAN SEE YOUR DATA
OTHER PLAYERS AND USERS.
Other players will see your country location via the Leaderboard section of the Game Service. This section’s purpose is for users to compete against each other for highest score.
GAME SERVICE PARTNERS WORKING FOR MOUSER.
Mouser has partners (such as Electropages) to perform services for us. These partners process your data only at and according to Mouser´s instructions to provide the Game Service, such as hosting, player support and analytics.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER OF DATA
Our Game Service is global by nature however; your data is stored as stated below.
User data is stored in Firebase. Firebase is part of Google Cloud and is stored in the United States of America. Information stored includes profile pictures, images, and user names.
Collection of Information by Third Party Sites
The Game Service may contain links to other Internet sites. These other sites may have different privacy policies and this Game Privacy Policy does not apply to such other sites. We have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.
Business Transactions
We reserve the right to transfer any and all data that we collect from users that we otherwise collect concerning or in connection with the Game Service, including personal information, to a third party in the event of a sale or other transfer of assets or of any portion of our business. In the event we enter a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal information may be among the assets transferred.

Your privacy rights are important to Mouser. New privacy laws and requirements are constantly being implemented around the globe, Mouser works to ensure that your privacy is protected regardless of who you are and where you are from. We respect your privacy rights and manage your data according to your wishes.

Manual right of access request
If you would like a copy of the personal data we hold about you, email us at DPO@mouser.com.
You will receive an email containing a link to our verification of identity form. Please fill out the provided form and submit.
Mouser will research your request and after verifying your identity, we will send you the following:
- A list of the personal information we have on you.
We want to make sure that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and up to date. If any of the details are incorrect, please let us know and we will update them as necessary.
RIGHT TO ERASURE (RIGHT TO HAVE YOUR DATA DELETED)
You have the right to erasure and to request the erasure of the personal data Mouser holds.
Manual right to be erased
If you would like to request to be erased, send us an email at DPO@mouser.com.
You will receive an email containing a link to our verification of identity form. Please fill out the provided form and submit.
Mouser will perform the following process.
- Mouser will erase your account (your personal data).
- Mouser will remove your data from our marketing database.
- Mouser keeps a record of your “request to be erased” and a log of when your data was erased from our systems.
- Mouser will provide you with a verification email that personal data has been erased from our systems.
Other Rights
- Right to rectification/correction. The right to obtain rectification/correction of your personal information without undue delay where that personal information is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Right to restriction. The right to obtain restriction of the processing undertaken by us on your personal information in certain circumstances, such as where the accuracy of the personal information is contested by you, for a period of time enabling us to verify the accuracy of that personal information.
- Right to portability. The right to portability allows you to move, copy or transfer personal information easily from one organization to another.

RETENTION AND PROTECTION OF YOUR DATA
We care about the security of your information and employ physical, administrative and technological safeguards designed to preserve the integrity and security of information collected. We have in place servers, firewalls and encryption to safeguard all our information.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Game Service. Game accounts that are inactive for 1 year will have their data removed from our database.
Note that if you ask us to remove your personal data, we will remove all personal data, and data relating to the Game Service.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
We do not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 16. In the event that we learn we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under the age of 16, we will delete that information. If you believe that we have any information from a child under 16 on our systems, please contact us at DPO@mouser.com.
Under California law, if you are a resident of California, you may make a written request to us about how we have shared your information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If applicable, this information would include the categories of customer information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared customer information for the immediately prior calendar year (e.g., requests in 2022 will receive information regarding 2021 sharing activities). To obtain this information, please contact us at DPO@mouser.com. Furthermore, in response to your written request, we will provide you with a notice describing the cost-free means to opt-out of our sharing your information with third parties with whom we do not share the same brand name, if the third-party will use such information for its direct marketing purposes. Please be aware that not all information shared is covered by the requirements of California and only information on covered sharing will be included in our response.
Google Analytics and Advertising. We use Google Analytics to recognize you and link the devices you use when you visit our website on your browser or mobile device, log in to your account on our site, or engage with us. Google Analytics allows us to understand how you interact with our site and tailor our advertisements and content to you.
