Texas Instruments TPS56637EVM-029 Converter Evaluation Module (EVM)

Texas Instruments TPS56637EVM-029 Converter Evaluation Module (EVM) is designed to help evaluate the TPS56637. The TPS56637 is an adaptive on-time D-CAP3™ mode synchronous step-down DC-DC converter and is able to deliver a 6A continuous output current. This switch mode power supply (SMPS) IC is optimized for applications requiring very low power consumption, such as printers, DTV, and monitors, by providing an Ecomode™ (pulse-skipping). The TPS56637 integrates 30V capable MOSFETs, which is suitable for applications working from 24V bus power lines. D-CAP3™ mode provides an easy-to-design, stable regulation with very few external components, and it supports cost-effective ceramic capacitors. The TPS56637EVM-029 evaluation module is a single, synchronous buck converter providing 5V at 6A from 4.5V to 28V input.
