Mouser-Backed DS PENSKE Formula E Racing Team Prep for Doubleheader in China

May 29, 2025 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components™, is proud to support the DS PENSKE Formula E team as they visit China for the Shanghai E-Prix for rounds 10 and 11 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Fans will be treated to another doubleheader weekend with the first race on May 31 and the second on June 1.

In 2014, Formula E broke onto the racing scene with a historic first race in Beijing. Since then, the all-electric series has raced in four locations across China, with races in Hong Kong, Sanya, and Shanghai joining the calendar. The Shanghai International Circuit was conceived by renowned designer Hermann Tilke, who has been responsible for some of the most famous racetracks in motorsport. Designed for top-tier motorsport global events, the circuit features a challenging combination of high-speed straights and tight corners. This track offers plenty of opportunities for overtaking, making it the perfect place to showcase Formula E’s unique brand of racing.

The DS PENSKE Formula E team is led by two-time Formula E Champion Jean-Éric Vergne and Maximilian Günther as they pilot the new GEN3 Evo car. The GEN3 Evo is faster, stronger, and more agile than its predecessors and features an aggressive new body kit designed to be stronger, more robust and more aerodynamic. The new GEN3 Evo cars can go from 0-60 mph in 1.82 seconds, 30% faster than an F1 car. It also allows for all-wheel drive, a first for a Formula E car.
