Texas Instruments TPS62A056x Step-Down Buck DC-DC Converters
Texas Instruments TPS62A056x Synchronous Step-Down Buck DC-DC Converters are optimized for high efficiency and a compact design. The devices integrate switches capable of delivering up to 2A of output current. At medium to heavy loads, the devices operate in peak-current mode pulse-width modulation (PWM) with a switching frequency of approximately 2.4MHz. At light load, the devices automatically enter power-saving mode (PSM) to maintain high efficiency over the entire load current range. In a shutdown, current consumption is minimized to extend the application's shelf life. The TPS62A056xA variants of this device family operate in forced PWM across the whole load current range.
The Texas Instruments TPS62A056x devices provide an adjustable output voltage through an external resistor divider. An internal soft-start circuit limits the inrush current during start-up. Essential features such as overcurrent protection, thermal shutdown protection, and power-good (optional) are built in. The devices are available in an SOT-563 package.
