Texas Instruments LM5141QRGEVM Evaluation Module (EVM)

Texas Instruments LM5141QRGEVM Evaluation Module (EVM) provides a fully functional buck power supply, employing peak current mode control. This module helps designers evaluate the operation and performance of the LM5141-Q1 synchronous buck controller. The Texas Instruments LM5141QRGEVM provides a 5V at 5A. The nominal input voltage range is 8V-18V. The device can be configured and set up to switch at 440kHz or 2.2MHz.

Features

  • VIN 5.5V to 42V
  • 5V at 5A
  • 2.2MHz operation to avoid the automotive AM band
  • Low shutdown IQ 10µA
  • Low standby current 35µA the output in regulation, no-load

Required Equipment

  • Power supply
    • The power supply should be capable of 50V/10A
  • Electronic loads
    • The electronic load should be capable of 10V/10A used in constant current mode
  • Oscilloscope
    • An oscilloscope and 10x probes with at least 20MHz bandwidth are required
  • Meters
    • A current meter is required to measure the input current accurately
    • The maximum current rating of the meter should be carefully considered
    • The input current can be as high as 4.5A with the output at full load at the minimum input voltage
    • The output voltage should be monitored with a voltage meter capable of monitoring up to 10V
