Phoenix Contact Radioline I/O Extension Modules

Phoenix Contact Radioline I/O Extension Modules are the flexible expansion platform that includes a 4-channel voltage analog input card and a 4-channel NAMUR input card. These modules can be used in conjunction with Radioline wireless modules and other Interface System (IFS) master devices. The Phoenix Contact Radioline I/O Extension Modules provide easy and tool-free I/O mapping via thumbwheel on the front of the device and are compatible with existing Radioline systems (firmware update required). These extension modules offer channel-to-channel electrical isolation and feature international approvals.

RAD-NAM4-IFS I/O Module

Phoenix Contact RAD-NAM4-IFS (2316275) Radioline I/O Extension Module is a four-channel NAMUR digital input module for use in Radioline and PROFIBUS PA MUX I/O systems. This I/O extension module features line break detection, channel-to-channel electrical isolation, and short circuit detection. The RAD-NAM4-IFS module fulfills the NAMUR proximity sensor standard EN 60947-5-6 and communicates to Radioline, FB-MUX/HS/DIO-NAM/PA, and FB-MUX/HS/DI24/PA head stations via the TBUS connectors. Typical applications include fire pull stations, gate switches, fence switches, perimeter security, valve monitor and control, closed contact I/O switches, and consolidation of remote I/O signals.

The RAD-NAM4-IFS 4-channel NAMUR input card accommodates 4 NAMUR inputs that provide both status of the signal as well as the quality of the signal line. The module detects whether the switch is ON or OFF if the signal line is faulted (open or short circuit) when using a NAMUR type input

RAD-AI4-U-IFS I/O Module

Phoenix RAD-AI4-U-IFS (2702290) Radioline I/O Extension Module accommodates 0V to 5V or 0V to 10V analog inputs. This extension module provides flexibility to the existing 4-channel analog input card that accepts 4mA to 20mA inputs. In a station structure, the RAD-AI4-U-IFS module can be connected with up to 32 I/O extension modules via the DIN rail connector. This extension module features channel-to-channel electrical isolation, easy start-up via the thumbwheel, hot-swap replacement (even during operation), and an extended temperature range of -40°C to 70°C. The RAD-AI4-U-IFS module is ideal for use in processing four input signals, instrumentation with a voltage output, and locations where lower power or solar power is required.
