Phoenix Contact QUINT4 Power Supply Units
Phoenix Contact QUINT4 Power Supply Units use preventive function monitoring to report critical operating states before errors occur. This is achieved through near-field communications (NFC), real-time monitoring, coordinated surge protection, and a configurable DC output characteristic to the QUINT Power line. These Phoenix Contact units feature a gas-discharge tube (GDT) for coordinated protection as well as Power Boost and Selective Fuse Breaking (SFB) technology. SFB technology trips standard circuit breakers selectively while loads that are connected in parallel continue working.
Phoenix Contact QUINT4 units can be configured while still in the box, and signaling thresholds and characteristic curves can be individually adjusted. These units evaluate operating hours, monitor all of the outputs, and feature a tamper-proof option. These power supplies have a nominal output voltage ranging from 12VDC to 48VDC.
Some of these Phoenix Contact QUINT4 units also provide IEC 61508 SIL-rated power supply solutions to fulfill strict safety requirements.
DIN Rail Power Supplies QUINT4-PS/1AC/24DC/20/+ features a fully loaded power supply with an integrated decoupling MOSFET and meets SIL 3 regulations without the need for any external components. This unit is a single, conformally coated device solution with ATEX, IEC
61508, and IEC 61511 approvals. This allows the power supply to be mounted within potentially explosive areas (Zone 2).
SIL 3 requirements can also be met by combining the power supply QUINT4-PS/1AC/24DC/20 with the redundancy module QUINT4-S-ORING/12-24DC/1X40/+. These units can be used to set up a single or redundant bulk power system to protect them from overvoltage.
