onsemi LC709204V Battery Fuel Gauge is for 1-cell lithium-ion/polymer batteries and is part of the Smart LiB Gauge family. The onsemi LC709204V measures the battery's relative state of charge (RSOC) using the HG-CVR2 algorithm, which provides accurate RSOC readings even under varying conditions like temperature changes, loading, aging, and self-discharge. Accurate RSOC measurement enhances the operating time of portable devices. The HG-CVR2 algorithm, also known as a gas gauge, battery monitor, or battery gauge, is highly versatile for various applications. The LSI can start measuring the battery immediately after setting a few parameters, eliminating the need for complex learning cycles in the manufacturing process. With a low operating current consumption of just 2µA, the device is ideal for use in wearables and 1-series N parallel battery configurations.
