ADIsim Software
Analog Devices offers ADIsimRF™ as an easy-to-use RF signal chain calculator. ADIsimRF calculates noise figure, cascaded gain, P1dB, IP3, and power consumption. Designers can choose the number of stages up to a maximum of 20. The design tool allows stages to be easily inserted, temporarily muted, or removed. The calculator can switch between Transmit Mode and Receive Mode, where data is presented output-referred and input-referred, respectively. ADIsimRF presents the results in tabular and graphical form.
ADIsimRF includes embedded device models for most of Analog Devices' RF components. Pull-down menus provide access to device data. Device data (IP3, P1dB, gain, and noise figure) are stored at various frequency increments. For variable gain devices, data is also stored at gain increments. Custom devices can also be created and saved. To assist in device selection, ADIsimRF includes component selection tables. ADIsimRF also contains approximately 50 Balun and SAW filter device models from third-party vendors.
