ams OSRAM TMF8829 Direct Time-of-Flight (dToF) Sensor

ams OSRAM TMF8829 Direct Time-of-Flight (dToF) Sensor features a configurable resolution of 8x8, 16x16, 32x32, and 48x32, and is based on SPAD, TDC, and histogram technology. The TMF8829 sensor achieves up to an 11,000mm detection range with an 80° field of view (FOV), and all raw data processing is performed on-chip. The dToF device provides distance information, signal amplitude, confidence values, and ambient light on its interface. The cover glass is highly tolerant to smudges, and the module can simultaneously handle multiple objects per depth point without degrading accuracy, reporting the distance of all depth points with a 0.25mm resolution. The TMF8829 from ams OSRAM is a fully contained optical module with compact dimensions of 5.7mm x 2.9mm x 1.5mm.
